Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Use caution when the Wolf comes aknockin;(Lagoon)

The wolf hated being here. It’s long snout curled upwards at the thick air of decaying plants and stagnant water. Beneath his heavy hooves, the damp ground sucked and pulled at his feet as though the very Lagoon resisted his approach. A hard snort escapes his nostrils as he slides free of the muck and mire and once more his feet find purchase on firmer ground. Emerald eyes scan the sawgrass clearing before him. Chocolate ears swivel atop his skull as proudly he lifts his head and releases a deep baritone nicker into the still air.

The wolf wanted to ignore courtesy and stalk through the dense foliage of spanish moss and rough palmetto palms. The beast hated being forced to wait but in the interest of pursuing Enya’s lost lover, he would need to appear the picture of polite manner. Not that the rogue men cared, or so the wolf reminded him. Ears fell backwards amid the tangled knots of his cream and caramel mane as the stallion stretched his neck forward to scratch at an invisible itch on his foreleg. How the bachelors survived here with only a precious few trinkets as company was beyond him. It gave him a whole new appreciation for the spirited mares that had come to call his Paradise their home. And he still had quite a few more to procure, but that was for another time.

Dark ears pitch forward now as his thick tail switches absently back and forth, trying to think back to the rumors that he had heard over the last few years. Cullen had been banished, for what exactly Rougaru could not fathom but he felt sure it had something to do with his insistence on gathering young boys from all the different herds. It was strange really, his fascination with the younger colts, but to each their own or so the wolf told him. It would do him no good now aside from the knowledge that Cullen was no longer here. The painted stallion that Enya had mentioned was another concern. From what the wolf knew, he was a commander of sorts and paid particular interest in causing mischief and mayhem throughout the herds, stealing mares and stallions alike. So far, Paradise had not been forced to deal with him much save for one misbegotten venture where the stallion thought Bathsheba would be an easy prize, however Akela had been vigilant in his role as protector and Tyr was left empty handed to the young wolf. Yet another proud moment for him and his offspring. The thought brought a smirk to his lips and a gleam in his eyes. Impatience begins to set in and nonchalantly he shuffles his weight back and forth from one hip to the other. Silently he croons to the beast, assuring it that it would not take much longer for the Lagoon stallions to take notice of his presence and come with guarded eyes curious to know why it was he stood on their doorstep.
