She couldn't remember ever feeling so dejected. The love of her life, the one to help her past all her fear of the ocean and change, her knight in shining armor....he was just....gone. Roheryn was gone. And he wasn't coming back. Creed couldn't get the pain to stop. Her chest felt so tight that she couldn't breathe. Her son leaned against he, as if trying to lend his strength. She was surprised Adonis wanted to come with her when she decided to leave the Badlands. It was the only home he'd ever known, but he didn't hesitate. She knew he was probably just trying to protect her, but she knew exactly where she was going. Back to the only home she'd ever known, before Roheryn, anyway. The swim wasn't so terrible this time. She tried not to think about the dark water beneath her hooves and Adonis nickered encouragment to her any time she faltered. Maybe she needed her son more than she thought she did right now. Sighing, the black mare finally made it to shore and shook out her coat, looking around. She threw up her head and gave out a call, wondering if Persephone or Evren would hear her. Would they want to see her? Would they welcome her back? They were the only family she'd ever known since leaving her own as a two year old. Adonis came to stand at her side, leaning against her shoulder as he looked around. "Is this the place you were telling me about, mom? The place where dad found you?" Creed nodded her head and smiled at the memories. "Yes, it is. This is my home, just like the Badlands was my home. We're going to stay here for a little while, okay?" Her son nodded in understanding. She could see he was wary about everything, but he wasn't going to leave her any time soon, at least not until he knew she was okay.
