Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

JAWS

Jaws is not a trinket. No, on the contrary, she is something else. She wouldn’t know the name for it, not yet. She wouldn’t share the name of her parentage, no, not with any of them. Not until it suited her. It may be dangerous to do so, not divulging the name of the man whose side she clung to. Would it be Rade’s favor that kept her safe? It would certainly help, but there is no weakness to Jaws. Something that he had well passed on to her, something that lived within her well, was a strength of her own.

She had, of course, been planning to ignore him. Still, sometimes plans go astray. Jaws didn’t mind all that much. It would simply throw off her plans for the morning… well, not so much morning after all. How much of the day had she wasted? No, rest hadn’t been a waste. Rest and renewal was something the woman hadn’t been able to have for herself, not in a long time. Being alone, you see, was dangerous. Jaws wasn’t alone now. That was sweet relief.

The girl knew not of the women who lived here. She would meet them in time, but she regarded herself far differently. With confidence, she regards the stallion-- Carbon. He asks for her name, and the woman regards him with a careful gaze. There were many strange, conflicting personalities that resided here in the Lagoon, and she would do well to trust… well, frankly to trust none of them aside from Rade. “Jaws.” Her introduction is curt.

“What is it that brings you out here, this morning, Carbon?” She tries her best not to sound cold, but it’s largely in her nature. Jaws has not had company in what feels like too long, and she’s been alright without it. Well, she tells herself that she’s been okay without it. Socially it leaves her stilted, strained. She was going to try her best here. There is nothing meek about Jaws, and for that at least, she is glad.
