Three.
"Oh..." she says quietly. "It's ok...sometimes my mum gets mad and loses her temper too." She admits. "I know she doesn't mean to. She's just got a lot going on." She looks at the ground, avoiding his gaze. Thinking of her mother makes her sad all over again and she tries to stifle her sniffle in embarrassment. "No...the Savanna is not my home anymore." She actually didn't have a home, come to think of it. Was that normal? It felt like it was normal considering her mother had always kept them moving. She never really spoke of why but she always thought it had to do with her da.
"I think it's time for an adventure," she murmurs. She had little desire to seek out her parents. She wanted her taste of freedom, even if it seemed daunting to think about. "I've never been on my own though." She looks at him with large doe eyes. Despite his knee-jerk reaction to her nearly lopping his head off, he seemed trustworthy. "What about you? Where are you headed?" She says eagerly. She realizes she's practically leaning into him with eager expectation and she takes a step back. "Sorry, I don't mean to be so close." At this point, she'd lost track of how many times she'd apologized. She turns her head, too embarrassed to look at him directly. A flutter churns in her stomach, a feeling not even she recognizes but it felt like anticipation.
