Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

You’re not Salinger. Get over it.

The more you put yourself out there, the more fun you’re going to find. Though he didn’t know it now, those words would be etched in his mind for a long while to come. Frey resolved in that moment, that he would put himself out there as best, as much, as often as he could. There was something whimsical and magical about that, and his gait picked up a very slight skip because of it. He’s happy, honestly.

Frey knows not of the controversy that the Lagoon tends to bring over the other Islands, of the tension that follows their men. Though he may have a little more light on the situation now, with Zevulun’s trepidation toward the spot. Still, such things aren’t often in the mind of a child. No, he wanted to explore, he wanted to still it all. There’s something about the colt, though, that doesn’t necessarily want to go alone. Leaving his home island alone was… hm. Anxiety inducing may be the right word.

Zevulun spoke of visiting the Tinuvel in the summer, and the idea leaves Frey smiling. It really did sound wonderful, and he resolved that he would visit this summer. The suggestion that they travel to another island after the storm passed has Frey’s heart leaping in his chest. He’s so incredibly and immensely excited. “Yes! Ah, yes please!” The colt’s jubilation is clear. The storm couldn’t pass soon enough, really.

Ramiel asked if he could come as well, and Frey was even more excited at the prospect. He could travel alongside them, and get to see… well, get to see as much as he could. “Which island do you want to go to?” He looks to Ramiel, happy to have the man make the choice instead. Frey was happy to be invited to come along for the ride, and that was fantastic.

The path gave way to the Lagoon, and the snow began to fall even more densely as they crossed the boundary. Frey led the way down his more well traveled path, to the area where the trees began to fill the space. “We’re here!” His gaze flickered between the three stallions. “There are some good spots in the trees through here, it helps break the wind and keep the warmth in.” His gaze is clear, and Frey is happy to share his home for however long they’d need it. This company, he decided, was excellent.
