Fate was a big concept, and something that Grace had contemplated only on occasion. Sure, the pull of something bigger than herself was alluring… but was it real? She wasn’t a big fan of things she couldn’t see. Hell, she barely believed in the things she could see, let alone the things she couldn’t. Free will, thought, that was a concept she could get behind. Free will. The freedom to do as she would with no one to stand in her way. That sounded her speed.
As he stands beside her, Grace cannot help but nearly vibrate with excitement. Her hooves pick up and set down in place, a near dance in the fresh snow. Everything about today was exciting, and she was ever so grateful to have company again. Company. She didn’t have to be alone in the world, and that was a good sign. Independence suited Grace, but lonesomeness did not.
I thought you would never ask, and the giggle Grace returns is gleeful. The large creature had poked at her neck, and it catches her just off guard enough to not have the time to retaliate. The spotted girl’s ears pitch forward, and she launches towards Dill with long steps. Those same steps send powder flying up at her sides in all directions, and she was laughing. Her head tossed, and she quickly moved to close the gap. Grace’s head snaked forward, velveteen muzzle reaching out to bonk against his haunch.
And off she went! Racing through the snow with her brilliant gaze, glimmering in the sun. Shining. She was fast, circling the stallion with elegant, high steps. “Catch me if you can!” Fast, and alive with a certain electricity. Grace is so incredibly pleased with the game.
