 The frigid northernly winds whine through the dark evergreen boughs, bending the tops of the trees to their will and whips the icy snow in flurries. Its breath is icy and its fingers press themselves into his dense grullo coat, a coat that protects him from winter's frigid chill. He stood still and silent beneath the protective boughs, while his glacial eyes sweep across the frozen lands and to the dark ocean beyond. It had been quiet around the Inlet - except for the occasional visit from a neighbor or his treks to seek out strong alliances - not much had happened. Once winter's chill fades from the Inlet, he knows that the world around them would be teeming with new life. This he eagerly waits for - a time when the Inlet would be full of lighthearted children's laughter. A movement along the pebbled shore draws his glacial gaze. His breath is held on his lips as a someone pulls themselves from the ocean's frigid grasp and onto the shore. In a moment, they collapse and do not rise again. His brows furrow as he pushes him from beneath the boughs and across the brittle frozen grasses. As he draws closer his eyes are drawn to Siobhan who had already made her way to the young colt's side, quietly she converses with him and offers her side for the boy. Concern and worry clinches his stomach as he slides to a halt near to them. His glacial eyes flick over the young boy's wounds and notices the swelling his leg. What had happened to the boy? "You are safe," he gently says as his glacial eyes shift momentarily to meet Siobhan's. Where had the boy come from? And how had he ever found his way to the Inlet's shores? "I am Björn," he pauses "and you look like you have had quite the day." he drops his bone white face closer to the boy.
