a sharp eye, a smooth talker

When Bane steps forward, Eden steps back. She wasn’t going to fight her dam, no. There is still a churning in her stomach. It feels poorly, and her vision blurs. There are too many feelings… too many feelings from her. All Bane seems to feel is anger, but Eden is rocked with a deep sense of despair. She hurts. Everything hurts.

Her chest was burning, aching, and she was rocked to the core. “I’m your daughter, of course it’s meant to be your concern!” No, the mare didn’t stop shouting. Her voice raised further, raw, breaking. All of the emotions that Eden feels in these moments are raw. The distance of her mother throughout even her childhood had scabbed over, but that scab was ripped away once more. Scarring. Too many emotional scars.

“You cannot be fucking serious.” Eden’s voice lowers to a hiss, raw. She stood solid, steady as Bane began to close the gap. Over all four hooves, she plants herself. There’s a glare that’s fixed on her dam. What was she going to do? What on earth was she going to do? Eden was breaking inside.
