In another time, Aallotar would be suspicious of a stallion that would openly help a lone mare without some sort of compensation. In her quest to find her little colt, she has pushed reason aside for her sole mission. "Fortis!" She calls, her ears twisting on her dark poll, hoping that her mischievous son will come out. She vows to deeply scold his behavior for giving her such a heart attack. Višarr's whisper barely reaches her ear as he asks if she saw something rustle in the bushes. Her eyes narrowly focus and slowly stalk forward, nostrils flaring in hopes that it is Fortis. She noses carefully into the bush, her body rigid with anticipation. She can feel her heart pounding wildly in her chest as her eyes adjust to the shade.
"BOO!" Fortis yells, his eyes alight. But once he sees his mother's relieved but disapproved face, he begins to shift uncomfortably on his hooves. Aallotar looks at him carefully, inspecting his body for scrapes and bumps. "Where have you been? You gave me a heart attack!" She's practically yelling at this point. She takes a deep breath to calm herself. "You can't do that." She says with reservation. Fortis peeks at her from long lashes. "I'm sorry mother." Aallotar turns her body back to Višarr. "I know you did not have to help, but I am grateful that you did. Please, how can I repay you?" Aallotar of course had nothing to give. She was bound to the Lagoon, again. As she aged, she realized how brash her behavior was and that it needed to stop. She had already lost Seri. It would break her to lose Fortis.
