Second Place Wraps It Up Posted on October 11, 2021 at 10:25:58 PM by Alex Trebek
Matt Amodio got his 38th consecutive “Jeopardy!” victory Friday night, bringing him to a total of $1,518,601. He lost this afternoon, so his Friday victory will end his consecutives at 38. Thirty-eight consecutives puts him in second place for all winners.
He finished third among today's contestants, so he’ll get an additional $1,000 for today. I’m sure he’ll do as James Holzhauer and Ken Jennings have done, winning bundles more in “Jeopardy!” tournaments over the next who-knows-how-many years.
James and Ken are each in the $2.5 million winnings neighborhood, and I expect Matt to soon be in that same winnings range.
