More Fun

Last night, it was “Twilight Zone,” again. This episode was, “From Agnes, With Love.” It was a comical portrayal of a computer that fell in love with a human.

Funny how the image and portrayal of computers has changed since the days of TZ (1959 to 1964). The computer is this episode was Agnes, a big box against a wall, with lights flashing and “beep-beep-beep” sounds. It’s communication with humans was a tape similar to our cash-register tapes and a door that opened to display messages printed on cardboard.

The characters I recognized were Wally Cox and Raymond Bailey. Wikipedia mentioned a few TV and movie parts for Cox. I recognized him from the early years of game-show “Hollywood Squares.”

Bailey had a few “bit” parts in movies and on TV, but the part I recognized him from was that of Milburn Drysdale, the Clampetts’ banker in “Beverly Hillbillies.”

“From Agnes, With Love.” was pretty much a sit-com, rare for “Twilight Zone,” but it was fun.
