They can't afford to hire people at a living wage from bigger markets who are good enough to promote?
So they just do the Channel 9 "award winning" promotional spots, but ya gotta win one to be able to say it. Bigger markets usually win the awards because news in smaller markets is usually bush league and and they don't have the money for polished talent anyway.
Plus, promotion fees come out of the promotion budget and salaries come out of the news budget. We dont have news wars in this market anyway. If we did, there'd be four helicopters flying on big stories. Replies: There have been no replies.
