Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

turn men into beasts

Tyr is not sure what to think about Frey calling him by his name. Though it is not a surprise, as the young stallion hadn’t tried to conceal just how he felt about being left behind. The General had wanted to tell his son that he had been more than capable of making the swim, if he had wanted to go. If Grizel had made it, there was no doubt in Tyr’s mind that Frey could have too. But just as Frey had thought, that ship had sailed, and there was no going back on it now.

“It is always best to prepare.” Tyr answered, though there was always planning. The General had seen the way the Islands were changing now that Cullen was no longer Boss. How the other leaders no longer looked to the murky depths of the Lagoon as a source of fear. Instead, they didn’t seem to see them at all. Although Tyr would not seek to find their fear again, he did not want them to be forgotten either.

“Continue to strengthen yourself. The future will need it.” The General said in parting words. Choosing then to exit the meeting with his son. There had been no warm touch, no praise (only the small one when he had approached), or the feelings of a father to a son given in this exchange. It was a failing Tyr had done, but with the bitterness from Frey, he wasn’t sure what else to do.
