Years of silence, save for a couple conversations with strangers, has made her very lonely. She had debated many time on leaving this place, but each time something stops her. The last time it was her young brother Aries. He caught up with her to let her know he might be leaving the islands. Not just Salem, but the whole islands. She had begged him not to especially seeing how he was only saying that because he was frustrated. She explained to him she was always frustrated by her own circumstances.  She has been alone for seasons, but still stayed put in the Dunes. She could have gone searching for her brother, but she did not. Instead she just stayed where she was. She prayed each day for Kerr to bring her back someone from her past. Another relative, one of her mother maybe, and just someone she used to know. She would love to have the catch up conversation.

No one else ever came and her brother left that day. She did not know where he went exactly, but he has not come back. A stressed sigh leaves her lungs as she descends one of the many dunes. A loud call suddenly catches her attention. She looks around until her eyes find the young stallion in the distance that has no doubt just claimed this land as his new home. Her eyes roll as she keeps moving in the opposite direction. It was just another body to avoid in the next few weeks. He would soon be gone and the next stallion would step up to claim. Or maybe it will be another mare like the last owner. She has seen the mare with her newborn just a week ago, but has not spotted the mare since. No doubt she abandoned this land like everyone else did. Everyone, but her.
