 Sigurdr moves soundlessly through the midnight ocean with only the faint silver light of a thousand dying stars to guide his path. Each stroke draws him from a life he once knew, from a jungle that thrived with flora and fauna to his forefather's barren frozen iceland. The surf washes around his ankles as he steps onto the pebbled shores of the Inlet. Dark ears rotate atop his crown as he lifts his head higher on his muscled neck. The Inlet is still shrouded in a cloak of midnight hues with faint outlines of mighty pines and craggy mountain peaks. His breath plumes around his nostrils - a thin smoky veil - like that of the fearsome dreki. The pebbles crunch beneath his hooves as he steps across the shore and into the frozen grasses beyond. He knows that his father will be waiting for him, to welcome him into the Inlet and into his new family - yet, he wonders away from the heart of the frozen tundra and toward the distant horizon. In the darkness he silently moves, his head swivels atop his neck, eyeing every shadow and movement. The land that sprawls out before him is full of mystery and intrigue, folklore and legend, it reminds him of the distant Nordurland. He stands in awe as the sun peeks just above the horizon - brilliant pinks, bright oranges and pale yellows streak across the early morning sky. A cool autumn breeze pushes itself against him, winding its tendrils through his unkempt locks. Brilliant blue eyes drink in all the beauty that this northern land offers. With a smile on his whiskered lips he pivots from the sea's edge and presses further north, he is not certain where his hooves will take him.
