Re(4): Spinner? Stu?

There is no secret to what we make or what our fixed costs are. Our income is a matter of public record. You can find the net PMW figure with a simple internet search. Then take our salary per player, plus healthcare & multiply that out x20 players this year (& 26 next year - yes that is a tease about roster expansion) and the numbers become apparent quickly and simply.

Add-in around $500k in prize money (H2H, PMW-per-game & Championship Prizes) and that is what our players get. Add significant marketing and production costs and you get to a bigger number.

Magic City looks upon these expenses as an investment - opposed to a loss since the program was created with idea of seeing if a re-packaged, re-defined, newly-presented Jai-Alai product could be viable. Business wise we should be viewed more as a "start-up" opposed to an ongoing PMW entity because prior to Magic City there was no proof that Jai-Alai income could be increased. However, advances over this past year (H2H - Sports Betting & other potential revenue sources which will become evident in 2022) do provide for hope that our product can be self-sustaining and potentially even profitable.

I disagree with Bada's "uncharacteristically negative" view of potential income to Jai-Alai in the sports-betting model. At best (or worst) financial projections are not known so to say that it "won't work" simply has no basis in fact. We don't know how the sports-betting public will respond in States that never never seen Jai-Alai before. He also said something along the lines that no current Dania player would accept a contract at Magic City. In that regard he is 0 for 1 and I hope he will be 0 for 2 in terms of his prognostication / opinion on Jai-Alai sports betting viability.

Expanding PMW games does not make sense for us for a few reasons. Mostly financial considerations but also in terms of player injuries, cestas, etc. I fully stand behind our method and our product and am optimistic about the future of "Jai-Alai" for the first time in 20 years.
