Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Anne Boleyn
[mare//4yrs//15.3hh//Blue Roan Pintaloosa]

Though her own time within this world has been relatively short, Anne has found that events perpetuated through malicious thoughts, blind fury, or misguided passion are often remembered through rose-tinted lenses. The outcomes of such happenings are imprinted into the mind with the ugly tinge of whatever emotion was most prevalent. While Frey may recall the encounter with Jaskier as hideous and unforgiveable, she will refrain from judgment until her beloved can answer the accusations. While the boy before her in unseasoned when it comes to emotional tasks, she would be his stark opposite. The too-thin girl is unaccustomed to the bravery and confidence that fit in hand with the heat of battle. She is reduced far too quickly to the tearful creature before the sooty stallion - time and again she finds herself this pitiful creature leaking unwanted tears. She has allowed someone to consume her in entirety before and the eye-opening aspect of Jaskier's unspoken deceits find her languishing in self doubt once more. Her beginning upon the island had depicted a ghost of a mare withering away in mired pits of despair and desolation. The gut wrenching revelation that may have been duped - and again by a man she entrusted with her heart - is soul shattering.

The touch upon her shoulder silences her thoughts. Every piece of her is begging to accept the comfort, to lean in, to allow herself to be consoled. As much as she craves the touch of another, she shifts herself just out of reach. Guilt creeps eerily into her chest for refusing his attempt at companionship - she can sense that he is rather lost in a sea of masculinity that does not cater to signs of weakness. For this reason, she is ashamed for silently refuting the boy.

His words slice through her once more due to his clearly genuine intent, yet he has been the only willing accomplice in this painful season of her life. She is torn between the want to nurture the poor boy while simultaneously wanting to give him another verbal lashing. She abstains from her piercing words and chooses instead to dry any remaining tears - she is finished with being pitied. "Just let me go..." she says softly as her eyes seek out his own. Her plea lingers in the air between them, but she will not await the rebuke she knows to follow. Sighing softly, she moves closer to the brute, allowing her own muzzle to gently caress his sooty red shoulder as she continues past. Slender legs propel her forward, deeper into the land surrounding the lagoon, leaving the stallion behind as she catalogues yet one more painful memory.

OOC: I figured this would be a good ending point for them for now - I would be interested in having them cross paths again in the future!
