Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

turn men into beasts

Tyr might dislike it, but he brushes the mares sarcastic and bitter words away like water to a duck’s feather. She has every reason to hate him, mistrust him, as everyone else seemed too. The Lagoon would most likely remain in the dark, despite their grasp for light. Nevertheless, the General is here to do one thing. Perhaps he could toy with her a bit, for his own pleasure, but if he was at all honest with himself he was ready to send her on her way so that he could return to Kvothe’s side.

Before Tyr can ultimately decide, they are joined by another. The General has not seen Rade’s son since he had taken him from the Harbor and left him here in the Lagoon. When he had returned to find out that his brother had failed in keeping the stallion, it had annoyed him. But not to the point of pursuing any further. If Jaskier didn’t want to stay here with his father, or Rade didn’t want to push the issue, then it was nothing for Tyr to further think about. He had plenty of other things on his plate.

“Two sons?” Tyr questioned. Exchanging Frey for Anne was one thing, but Jaskier’s offer seemed generous. A bit too generous. It caused the General to narrow his eyes in a suspicious manner, but he couldn’t deny the chance to further strengthen the Boss’ bloodline here. If only because he supported Rade. “Take Anne” Tyr agreed, giving a nod of agreement. “The Lagoon will gladly take any sons, as we wish to make this a safe place to grow young stallions. Not to create monsters.” Tyr stated, making it clear the new vision the Lagoon had among the Islands.
