Been reading Marx lately? Sounding a little like what was once attributed to him, "From each according to his ability to each according to his need."
I don't like the phrase 'universal health care' but I can handle "Medicare for All."
Now being on it being a vangard Boomer (Trump and I are both 75) Medicare takes a hundred a month out of my check and I pay another $45 a month to my Supplemental that picks up most of my drugs (except the Tier3 one that costs me another $150 a month...and they do a little dental and glasses, this year no copay for regular of visits.
I think health care would be down to that for everyone if EVERYONE was in that full universe pool and we didn't have Insurance ads, sales forces and top management to also pay for. And who knows how much they bribe Congressmen to keep the status quo.
But if we vote Ant-corporatist (Democrat), then you could at least have catastrophic bills paid for, I'm for modest copays to keep people from calling their pediatrician everytime their cherubs get a stuffy nose like Military mommies do. Wouldn't hurt to hve dental and mental health in there too, given the addiction rates, numbers of narcissists, autistic kids, and the price of retail dental care.
What we pay in the US has priced us out of the world labor markets which is why Asia makes everything with American brand names on the boxes!
