Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

turn men into beasts

When Tyr had heard the call, he had nearly come to the conclusion to ignore it. The Boss had been absent, missing, and almost but a distant memory when his scent had gone with him. But in the end, Tyr had been too curious to stay away. What was so important that Rade had to announce his arrival like a King? The General didn’t put any sort of speed to his arrival though, and of course he was the last to show. But his ears were sharp, and he had caught the conversation just before he had joined them.

“No” The stallion said in greeting, his blue green eyes drifting over Rehoboam and Jaws first, before settling on Rade. The stallion looked like shit, and if not for the talk of death, Tyr might have said he deserved whatever had made him look like that for straying from home for so long. Now wasn’t the time for jabs when he had walked into something so serious. “We have already lost respect by how the Peak meddles in our business. Many think they are the ones controlling us now. We don’t need a mare speaking for us as well.”

Tyr knew that bridging the gap between the Lagoon and Peak had been important. There were things he had done with the same goal in mind, though the walk on that path had been very different from the one that had released the Trinket mare. Still, the Lagoon was a home for stallions. A place for sons to be sent to learn how to be men. With too many mares involved, that image would start to blur.

As for Rade, Tyr had a strong twisting regret knotting in his stomach. He should have pushed harder to become Boss so that this wouldn’t happen to the old stallion. So that he wouldn’t have been off doing who knew what for the good of the Lagoon. Or that is what Tyr thought he was doing anyways. Surely there would be nothing else that would drag the roan stallion away?

“The Marauder should be the deal broker for our goals.” Tyr added, again glancing to Rehoboam. The younger stallion hadn’t started his career with the Lagoon by causing chaos among the Islands like Tyr. He wouldn’t be seen as quite the liar the General would be, after all he had done. “I have no problem assessing the strength of our enemies.” he finished, his gaze resting on Rade once more.
