They walked in silence - but his glacial eyes still glance over it her - to watch her eyes fill with wonder as they step from the dark forest and into the clearing. Before them lay the bubbling hot springs, steamed rolled from the surface and curled itself into the frigid air. The warm permates around them, it warms his stone colored winter coat and chases the chill from his bones. He found himself frequenting these pools more and more, perhaps it was the warmth or perhaps it was the soft bubbling that soothed his warring soul.

She does not hesitate to step closer, he remembers the first time that he had set foot near to the springs. His heart had been full of wonder - these pools reminded him of the nor�urland - and soothed his homesick heart.

He eyes her curiously, she is meek and quiet, he worries that this place will be too harsh for her. He would have to insure that she was closely watched, to insure her safety and that she would see her first spring here in the Inlet. He clears his throat to speak but before the words leave his lips she has turned her attention upon him. Worry creases her brows and she can barely bring herself to look into his eyes as the words fall from her lips.

Her words are but a whisper. Now it is his turn to furrow his brow in confusion. Was she afraid she would not be welcomed?

"You are apart of this family now," he gently says as he steps closer to her "and they will welcome you warmly."

"Now warm yourself, I would hate for you to venture into the frigid winter without atleast drying your damp coat, for she is not very kind to us seasoned nor�anma�ur let alone a newcomer," A smile tugs at his whiskered lips as he tries push the uneasy feeling from his gut. What was this girl hiding?
