ANOTHER idiot left his or her SUV running at a convenience store at 63rd and The Paseo this afternoon, and - - Surprise-Surprise - - Somebody jumped into the running car and drove off with it!!!
The bad news was that there was a kid in the vehicle, of course. The good news, if there can be any at this point, was that the “kid” was a 14-yr-old, who bailed out at a stoplight.
KCPD caught the carjacker a short distance from the 7-11 and locked her up, but - - THINK how much easier it would have been if the dumb-ass driver/parent had turned off the SUV and pulled the keys out of the ignition when they went into the store.
Carjackers mill about in stores and parking lots, waiting for some fool to pull in and leave their vehicle running. As soon as they do, the carjacker goes into action.
