It had been a while since my mate died and I was left homeless because of the events that were going on at the time. I was lost and depressed when he died. He gave me his blessing to find a new home and a new mate. It kind of made me sad that we never had a foal together. If we did, I would be forced to raise it by myself. I know he wanted to start a family, but we never got to it. War was breaking out and his behavior was changing. He was sad and then the next day he would become aggressive. He was very aggressive and it scared me.
I have never seen him that aggressive before. The herd members started mumbling about him and my friends they ran away. They left the herd when my mate was making death threats and he would yell at me to butt out and go away. He had never been so rude to me before. The nice and sweet Melanthios that I knew was gone.
Then the next day he wouldn't get up. I had it and I summoned the caretakers for him. I gave them privacy and I walked around about a bit. Before I knew it, one of the caretakers ran up screaming to me. They told me that Melanthios overhead them talking about his incredible illness and that he was gonna jump off a cliff.
My life changed after he jumped off that cliff. Being upset, I ran away and ended up in the sea since there was no more land left. My long swimming took me to his new place. I was safe for now. I wasn't going back in that water for a while. I stood under a tree, shying away from the summer sun and observing the area around me. I really should socialize. I miss it, I haven't really don't it since my mate died. Since his death, I became a depressed loner and I really should stop being that.
