This essentially means that it is acceptable to use these pages to seek sponsorship for The Fusiliers Aid Society (which includes Fallen Fusiliers), and The Fusilier Memorial fund only. We now have our own dedicated justgiving site (http://www.justgiving.com/fusiliersaidsociety), which you can use to help raise money for your cause. If you let RHQ (Asst Regt Sec) know the specific cause you are raising money for, it will be directed to the correct fund. Messages soliciting sponsorship for causes or charities other than the Fusilier ones mentioned above should not be placed on the message board and may be removed by the Webmaster. Good morning,

I am contacting you on behalf of Battlefront Living History Group, a reenactment and historical society in Malta. We are always researching and looking to better our impressions to communicate the military heritage of the island in greater detail.

I am very impressed by the wealth of knowledge on your site concerning the Lancashire Fusiliers. For the above purposes, I would like to kindly ask you where one could access the documents relating to Malta (the war diaries and defense plan) made available on your site.

looking forward to hearing from you,

Nikolai.

Good Morning Nikolai.

Many thanks for your email and your kind comments.

I am assuming that you refer in particular to the 11th Bn feature page and the embedded link regarding Jack Eastham and the information contained therein.

https://www.lancs-fusiliers.co.uk/feature/Jack_Eastham/Jack_Eastham1.htm

You will note that the Jack Eastham feature was submitted by one of our contributors Mr Rodney A Eastham MSc FRICs. He states at the start of the feature....the first paragraph, what the various sources of his information were. I believe you will agree that it is a commendable piece of research.

The War Diaries (144 pages ) as mentioned on the main 11th Battalion page (* link below) can be viewed directly from the Web Site feature page itself or downloaded from the National Archives at Kew.

* https://www.lancs-fusiliers.co.uk/gallerynew/11thBn/11thbnMalta.htm

Again, the various maps and battle plans shown in the Jack Eastham feature were sourced by the originator from the references mentioned in his introduction and of course from the material held by the National Archives and also various books relating to the Battle of Malta GC.

The 11th Bn page on the LF Web Site is a particularly large feature page and as you will note contains several embedded links within the feature page(s). Their is a lot to read and a host of cross reference! 😊

All information we have regarding Malta GC is contained within the dedicated Web Site Feature Page. All material is subject to copywrite but may be used for educational purposes subject to specific request.

If we can assist further please get back to us.
