Don't go crying to your momma

cause you're on your own in the real world

Another day brings more knowledge of her new home. Every day Parvati explores a bit more of the Inlet as she takes the various stories her mother has told her into consideration. Someday soon she will go break the new to her family that she was here now, but let them be in the dark for a bit longer. Though it had taken everything to hold her back when she first arrived. The mix of feelings she had going on nearly had her storming over to the Cove to complain to her father. Complain about that stallion who tried to strong arm her for the Thicket, complain about Ra, and ask for advice about Orphiel…she didn’t know what to do there. With everything needing done on the Inlet she decided to wait to go speak to her father. Devi really needed her help settling in. Arneis was trying to adjust to the cold, plus their added time together has resulted in yet another bundle of joy in her belly.

There was not many of them left so she had to really show the ones that stayed she appreciated them. She believes she has shown the biggest thanks to Arneis, considering her current situation, but she could always show him more love. A sigh escapes the young mare as she finishes a quick round of the Inlet’s borders. Devi is close in tow to her mother, enjoying the various small creatures she could find in the snow. Every now and again she would see a bunny to chase, or a bird that has just dropped down looking for food, and she would launch herself towards the creature. Each time Parvati would laugh as her daughter tries to catch them. The two of them were nearing the end of the woods when Arneis’s call reach their ears. Devi instantly races towards the opening in the trees where she knows the land opens up to the meadow ahead. Parvati picks up speed to catch up, a happy smile on her lips.

The handsome bay dun soon comes into view with both girls galloping towards him. Devi reaches him first, following closely by Parvati, and rushed to be the first to greet her father. ”Hi dad!” The filly reaches out her muzzle to exchange breaths with her father in greeting. For the past week since they have been in the Inlet Arneis has been the only father she has seen. This has caused her to grow closer to the stallion. Parvati slows her pace as she reaches them and slides herself next to her lover. Her lips reach over to play with his ears as she giggles. “How is my handsome Prince?” Though he wasn’t of royalty like she was, Parvati found the pet name fitting in this moment. He was the only one here with her now. "Cold?” She asks, knowing the condition of Tinuvel was much different than the island they came from.
