having a wonderful time!

I DON'T WORRY,
WORRYING DON'T AGREE
THINGS THAT BOTHER YOU, NEVER BOTHER ME!

“Oh, yes.” Talya said as the Forest Goddess asked if Frey had treated her kindly up until the day that had scared her so badly. Her cream head bobbed, pale hair bouncing with the motion. “Frey was very nice to me! We had a lot of fun playing together in the Falls. He was really good at finding treasure. You should have seen the rock he found! It was huge!”

The excitement in her voice intrigued Kestrel, who’d popped his lips (wet and white with residual milk) free and tugged his head out from under her belly, looking very curiously up at her. Talya looked down at him and grinned. Kestrel was probably going to be a phenomenal treasure hunter! She was the very best, but Frey had been so good at it! She wished Kestrel wasn’t all newly born and wobbly-legged and tired, because she’d love to go play a game right now and see just how good he was.

But being born must be exhausting work, because giving birth definitely was. Talya yawned, then slid her attention back to the Forest Goddess. “We can stay here with you now, right?” The idea of leaving the Forest Goddess again didn’t sit well with Talya, especially now that she had Kestrel to look after. “I told the guy who came and took the Harbor that maybe I’d go back there but I don’t really think I want to anymore. Plus, I bet Kestrel isn’t that good at swimming yet. It took me awhile to figure it out.”
