Also quite memorable among cruises was the 1:c cruise to Rio. Don Walsh and I were cruise mates. During one day ashore, as we walked down alongside the fabulous beach, we noticed a car loaded with girls stop and honk at sailors and middies to get their attention. About the time the guys got close to their car, they would take off and repeat the stunt further down the road. They were headed in our direction so we knew we were going to be targets of their little game. Sure enough they honked, and we paused as if to continue walking. But they waited, picked us up and continued to one fantastic party!!! Replies: There have been no replies.
