People only trash others when they talk about the industry. The real problem with TV people is they dont know what they dont know. Too many news people came here from elsewhere and they know nothing about the area their viewers do.
Stations get very little feedback and most of you spend too much time watching your competitors--nothing to be learned from THEM, and your EP won't touch a story they enterprised anyway!
Chill. Instead of policing the room, bring up TV topics, start conversations, don't run people off. Most have already left. TV is very much about politics and should be more than just chasing sirens and listening to weather repeats.
Show by example what you wanna talk about and quit whining. You wanna go find some news, have enough staff to go find it, not just react to crimes and PR releases the Desk gets in the mail! Newscasting has gotten really boring, same shit, different day. Especially now that the Star's laid off all THEIR news gatherers too! Tony puts out more news than all 4 of yas combined!
