Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

turn men into beasts

Tyr’s greeting had been made in sarcasm, even if he had said it in a somewhat polite manner. He knew this interaction wouldn’t be pleasant. Most weren’t; especially from those that called his name. Emotions run rampant upon the mare’s face and a part of Tyr can relate to them all. The sorrow as her strength wanes, then the annoyance that sparks in the depths from whatever thoughts flicker through her mind. Still, Tyr is willing to listen, and even lets his ears flick forward as she asks about Jaskier. Had the son of Rade not been at her side this entire time? It was the last place Tyr had laid eyes upon the stallion. But it is her last question, the accusation in it, that sour’s anything in the stallion that is willing to help the painted mare.

“You’re precious Jaskier is dead.” Tyr replied, his voice dropping deeper now, nearly a growl while his ears laced back against his skull. “The wolves have long since picked his bones clean, I would image. I did not see fit for him to burden us any longer.” It was a lie of course. Tyr hadn’t a clue where Jaskier had gone, and it wasn’t Tyr’s fault that the stallion had not thought Anne good enough to take along to whatever reclusive place he had disappeared. Later, when his temper had died and the poison of the viper woman was not so fresh in his veins, Tyr would regret the cruelty of what he told Anne now. He would have wanted to prove to her that he was not the monster; that the Lagoon was not the monster, that she viewed them as.

As his words died between them, Tyr took a step towards the mare. He knew by his stance and the cruel expression now upon his face, that everything about him seemed the threatening part of a monster the Islands thought them to be. “Unless you desire to be a Trinket of your lover’s killer, I suggest you make yourself scarce of the Lagoon.” Of course, Tyr would not take Anne prisoner again. He had made the promise to do better and claiming the mare now, as badly as he wanted too, was not worth breaking that promise. But it worked well with the bluff and lie he was already committed too, and it was punishment to the mare for accusing him of something she hadn’t a clue about.
