The vision of an army of stallions rushing to her aid was becoming a out of reach dream. Few have come since the birth of Devi (maybe having a daughter changed things) so she expected things to only get worse when this next child arrives. As long as Arneis stays she would be okay. Out of everyone who claimed to be Devi's fathers, those who could be her fathers, Arenis was the only one who stayed. Orphiel might have stayed if their family ties had never come out...but she wished he had stayed. Being alone on Tinuvel with only two bodies to keep warm did bring her closer to her small family. Devi has a good bond with her mother, with Arneis, and they were happy.

Mother came to visit this morning with her four brothers. Parvati was delighted to see them all together in one place, but with birth looming near she shoos them home early. For some reason she felt different today so she takes an afternoon nap only to wake abruptly. Pain over takes her body, but she knows exactly what was happening. Parvati quickly moves across the field, into the woods, and towards the cave's opening that holds such precious memories of her own ancestors. It is here, deep in the Inlet, that she allows herself to give into the process of birth.

Time passes until finally the baby was born. Labored breaths begin to quiet as she feels the stir of the new life beside her. Parvati pulls herself up, stands, and lowers her muzzle to gently bumps the head of her new baby girl. A smile spreads across her lips before she begins to lock the foal clean. "Welcome to the world beautiful girl," she whispers to the filly as she finished her last bit of cleanup. How lucky she was to be blessed with another beautiful girl.
