You can’t POSSIBLY be surprised at ANYTHING that gets onto this board, pea-brain. Part of the reason I copied the article was to show that the elite, so-called leaders of this nation have faults, too. I realize Paul Pelosi only has leadership-by-association, being married to Nancy “The Fossil” Pelosi, but fame has its price.
The fact that Paul Pelosi is 82 yrs old means he has probably reached the point where he should NOT be driving, even sober. My mother was in her 80s, and only drove for things like doctor appointments and groceries when she recognized/accepted the fact that she should give up her driving privileges. She had friends and family to drive her places, and she is now in a senior-care facility (not JKV, but similar).
After getting two drunk-driving tickets in less than a year – one on each side of the state line - when I was younger, I put myself on a self-administered combo of AA and marijuana maintenance. I’d roll up a joint and stash it in my car. I’d attend the AA meetings sober and straight, then smoke marijuana on my way home.
The combo of AA meetings and marijuana maintenance helped me quit booze. After several years of AA and marijuana maintenance, I finally quit weed, too.
Call it cheating or whatever you want to call it, it worked. I have been dry and drug-free for many years.
