The word I got in the Pits was that Perley has retired and will not run this year. Maybe Perley decided to be like Bentley, never make an official announcement. Good show several supers under 15 second mark in time trials. Great run by Stevens. Benson drew 11th starting spot and quickly got up to 4th when it appeared that an engine may have expired. I would have to say the supers were very competitive. Many could have won this event. Seemed good to have nearly full field and would expect more next event. Surprised not to have McKnight there.
