Hi Willie,
Regarding your Anti-Virus software, I, too, was using AVG. I would swear by them but, after quite a long time my PC was screen freezing and acting up with a lot of other problems, so I was recommended to go to " The PC guy" on Tottington Road in Bury, I had also been told how good this guy is by quite a few people who have used him for PC Problems. To cut a long story short, I took it to him; he did an in-depth survey on my PC. He told me the main problem was AVG; with AVG trying to be the best, it is leaving Broken Threads all over my programs and gumming up the systems, so I asked him for his recommendations. He said, " to be quite honest; there is nothing wrong with Windows Defender" since all the updates Windows have made, it's one of the best ones on the market, but, It's free. That's the one I now use and have not had any problems since. I know this is a bit long-winded, but I just wanted you to know It was not a spare-on-the-moment thing, lol
