Sigmund had decided to stay after her relentless asking. He made her promise not to bother him much (which turns out to be hard to do) so she tries to keep her mind busy. Whenever she feels the need to bother him, she just finds someone else to bother. Sometimes it is Arneis, sometimes Devi or Syrah, there was Isak, and of course Loupgaru who keep her company. Each one played their own part, but parts of her were sad at the failed relationships of the others. She wished she keep them all by her side, but it is not what they wanted. Ra was happy with his own mares in the Hills…Arteides wished to be with his lover there as well. The young stallion she claimed in the commons was thwarted by her own ex-lover. Even the young stallion Marik that grew up in her birth home seems to be against her now. Did that mean father was against her too? That couldn’t be it…

She sighs. How could life seem so promising in the beginning only for her to fall so easily? In the beginning she had gathered others to her with ease, but now no one seemed to care for her company. Slowly, even those that had stayed by her side were becoming quiet. Devi was growing older and she was worried she might be leaving soon. Her heart would soon seek the love of another just as her mother once did. But maybe she will prove her mother wrong and stay in the Inlet. Parvati would love to see her daughter bring up her own family here one day. Her worry soon goes to the unborn child in her belly. If Devi and Syrah decide to leave this place, she would have this new life to keep her company. Until this foal grows up.

The Snow Princess reaches the frozen beach as the sun just begins to set behind her. Another day was over and she was still lucky enough to be able to call the Inlet hers. If she was failing at everything else at least she could do this for her family.
