CAR COUNTS - I noticed on the ISMA Web page that 36 supers have points for the 2022 season thus far. Yet we have a hard time getting 24 cars to a track. Maybe someone has insight to this - is there other reasons outside of fuel costs to travel and the availability of parts? Oswego averaged about 24 cars for their 3 wing special shows with a big payout and point fund.
I really hope Oswego and Organizers run this event in 2023. I agree with GWN from and earlier post - that series needs to offer points for all organizations to attract a larger field. Also, I am not sure of the re-draw for starting positions in the feature event. To me, this leads cars to only run to be in the top 4 during heat events. A different scheme should be looked at and bring back a "B" main even if you have 24 cars. I realize some of the decisions for events are to cut costs but, you need to make it more attractive so that fans have and exciting quality show. Large crowds bring in money and make it possible for larger purses. That benefits owners and fans. Amen. Replies: There have been no replies.
