Well Ian is now history but she sure did a job down here in SW Florida. I am only about 20 miles south of the point of entry but we did get winds over 115MPH and the worst of all -storm surge of at least 8 feet. We were smart and moved all the residents cars to the 4th level of a close by garage at a local shopping center, Unfortunately about 24 of our hard working staff were parked around our building and the surge completely covered their cars in only a few minutes. So sad. I believe the number of flooded cars will be in the thousands as many did not believe the surge forecast - and a good number of those cars are expensive ones. Our building has a generator providing full power, but all around us are many without power. Lesson learned - pay attention to storm surge Replies:
