There are TWO THINGS Republicans could do to ease the Eldercare crisis.
First, raise the minimum wage to keep up with our slow, steady (but now quickly rising) inflated prices.
Second, to keep Social Security benefits rising at the same pace.
Third, force drug companies to negotiate with MEDICARE to cut their profiteering, especially with lifesaving drugs like Eliquis blood thinner and insulin for diabetes.
Fourth, to encourage real estate people with tax breaks to build affordable eldercare housing with nearby nursing assistance and food service to keep em out of $5,000 a month Nursing Homes.
Fifth, to raise the ceiling so that people making a quarter to half million dollars a year keep paying into Social security so it will remain solvent! Right now, they don't.
Sixth, to give tax credits to families who house and care for their elderly parents, like they do to care for children in their homes.
Elders need to vote DEMOCRAT because Republicans are LIBERTARIANS whose patron saint is Ayn Rand who doesn't believe in altruism...she believes everybody should be on their OWN EVEN THO she got her college education with public funding.
On the other hand, Republicans want to move America's wealth from the working class who will need it when they age, to the already rich class which doesn't!
ITs not that hard to figure out, Reality. Do you watch a lot of Fox? Unless you are RUNNING the radio station you work at, you will NEVER be wealthy...and so you're voting for the wrong political party. THey dont' work for YOU, they work for their wealthy DONORS! But there arent' enough wealthy to elect them, so they BS the working class by appealing to the evangelicals over abortion--despite that it adversely affects women across the nation... and GUN nuts despite that AR-15's are killing young people all over the nation.
And they gerrymander districts to their advantage and work to prevent blacks and other likely Democratic voters from voting at ALL. They are NOT the party that keeps most Americans best interests in mind!
As to the deficit, Fox never shows you a graphic of which political party presidents run up the biggest deficits. That would surprise you but they show it once in awhile on MSNBC and CNN.
The solution to THAT problem is for you to broaden your news diet, Reality! (grin) Replies:
