Enya

Pulse quickened as she caught the glimmer of gold in the trees. Island, after island the woman no longer cared where she trespassed the thoughts of her lost partner and children echoed in her thoughts; haunting her as though she were in a nightmare she couldn't awake from, and yet here was a glimpse of hope. Despite her desire to quell this ache Enya couldn't help but seek out what little hope of reunion these isles presented her. Curved ears laced tightly against her bodice as she closed the distance rage racking her body in violent tremors. Golden yes, but with no relation to herself...the woman wanted little more than to release her frustration charge at the golden oak of a creature, but another set of voices tore her crystal pools from the stallion's form.

The angry snorts and growls rippled through the air and the glimpse of a young colt nearly face-to-face with the large bear drew her full attention. Half of her mind was twisted by concern, limbs aching and edging her forward and yet a shallow hiss escaped her maw. Why should she be concerned for these children? Her hoof dug deep into the earth, eyes watching them like a wolf in the shadows. Perhaps they would run and escape the grasp of the mothers' rage and yet there was such dark humor to the notion. Could they really outrun a mother's fury and wrath?

Tail swished sharply against her flank as the golden woman turned to walk away. "Mother" a cold chill ran down her spine as she whipped her head around. No longer stood a stranger, but her own son or rather his illusion. A blood-curdling scream escaped her maw at the sight before her. "Adrianus run, damn you" The woman hissed rushing forward at the bear stopping short enough to strike out at it with a slender leg attempting to draw the mother's attention away. Turning swiftly she would head into the depth of the trees only looking back to see if her son had escaped unharmed or if the bear had stopped following her. She knew if she had caught the bear's ire she would have to be swift and cunning to outmaneuver the powerful creature.
