i'm always in this twilight

A FALLING STAR FELL FROM YOUR HEART
AND LANDED IN MY EYES

Being a princess had lulled Zaira into feeling a false sense of security. Even when she was alone in her home, she was never truly alone. There had always been at least one guard that she remained within sight of. It left her weary and troubled, feeling much like a bird in a cage. A gilded cage is still a cage. She had been so lost in her own thoughts, the nicker to announce his arrival was totally lost on her. It was not until he spoke that she fully registered her presence.

She spun, a soft gasp spilling from her soft lips. "Oh! You startled me," and she laughs, silver bells and birdsong. Her eyes close, crinkling with notes of a smile. Remembering the lessons of her youth, Zaira lowers head bowing to Rilke. "A pleasure to meet you Rilke, I did not mean to intrude. I am pr-," she stops herself, pursing her lips in thought for a moment before returning her gaze to his. "I am Zaira," there is pride as she introduces herself.

She steps closer, almost dancing on her small hooves, as she does. "Your forest is quite beautiful." Zaira turns away, eyes scanning through the trees. She opens her mouth, closing it tightly again, clearly mulling over something in her head. She seems to come to some conclusion in her mind and turns back to him, a sheepish smile on her face.

"Do you get many butterflies here?" She cannot help but ask. They were her favorite after all.
