She can sense some tension from him, but she still comes to greet him properly - approaching with her innocence and naive experience in life. She extends to him, friendly and believing the best of the world, but his response is sharp and she retracts her nose speedily, curling her chin to her chest in a quick snapped motion. "I’m sorry." Stops her from retreating too far, her head shake following his once his cooler demeanor returns. Her eyes do not seem terribly thrown, nor does her posture [her whole life, after all she was an Arabian and such a family was full of more grumpy and tense horses anyway].
"But, my name is Gael."
She sees him extend his muzzle, so she returns like a magnet, though her eyes focus more fully on him now to make sure she read the environment more precisely as she had once done at home. "I have forgotten my manners, Khayali. I have been alone for far too long." His voice is not contrite but sorry, and it soothes her a little. "It is good to meet you, Gael. I was worried that it seemed like there were no others of our kind here."
Her graying self is so contrasted beside his black form. Small where he is large, light where he is dark… He seemed world-worn and she seemed a bit more fresh considering her age. She shakes out a shudder from the sudden up-down of tension, "I am not accustomed to being alone," she pauses with a split in her ear direction, "Could I ask if you’d be terribly opposed to a bit of company?" She tries to sound indifferent, casual, but there is a flicker in the muscle of her shoulder and a sharpness to the snap of her tail that spoke to the awkwardness behind the inquiry.
