Vent moment. Zaylee and Aubree have been home schooled since Covid started. This is their first year back and Aubrees first time in public schools. Their immune system has been crap for the last two years. Obviously, going to school after being quarantined this long, they are going to get sick. Aubree has been sick much more than Zaylee. Aubree has missed 10 days this year with multiple illnesses and Covid quarantine (which is mandatory). I got a certified letter today from the school saying they have filed a police report against me for days missed. Also, I will be subject to interviews. I have called the school each day she is sick to let them know. I’ve asked for work to be done at home or if she can do anything virtual. They have said no. I’ve contacted the teachers to inform them and ask for work as well. There has been no attempt by the school to even speak to me. All I get is a threatening letter because my child has been sick and because I’ve been the responsible parent and not sending my kid to school when they are sick. Shame on you Raymore-Peculiar School District. Replies:
