The trip to the mainland had been fun, especially for the adventous painted mare. Harlequin had told her many times of her own adventures and of far distant lands filled with sights beyond what she had known. When Bacardi first approached her with the notion of venturing beyond the islands, she had not been sure he was serious. It was not until her hooves reached the main island that she realized this adventure was real and it stretched before her like the open fields and forests. Many days and nights had been passed together in pleasant exploration. However, as they often say, even the sweetest of honey could turn sour and spoil. The excitement of unknown destinations disappeared and instead was replaced with growing unease. As much as she dispised the cold weather, she was beginning to miss the Bay. It had become home despite her usual disgruntled quips she had often teased Bacardi with.

When finally the feral-eyed stallion suggested returning home, Twinge was among the first to race towards the shores. She had enjoyed her time away but that time taught her just how much she ached to return to lands that she knew. As obedient as she knew how, Twinge allowed Bacardi to take the lead.

The turbulent waters drifted them apart but even without the reassurance of the painted stallion to guide her, Twinge knew the way. The islands called to her. Instead of returning to Tinuvel as she expected, Bacardi turned towards the shores of Luthien. Confused, Twinge follows, not willing to allow herself to be seperated from the stallion she had choosen as her own. Only when her hooves find purchase on the sandy shallows of the shore does her dark gaze turn towards him. "Luthien?" she asks her tone curious but not altogether displeased.
