once upon a dream

she's not always sarcastic
sometimes she's asleep

Between luck and the relative shock of the cold ground beneath her, Svetka began to rouse fairly quickly. Some of her episodes could last for long, drawn out minutes that felt like drowning, but others like this one just rendered her helpless and then forced her to slowly reacclimate. Even before she regained control of her limbs, she became vaguely aware of a horse hovering somewhere nearby, dodging in and out of her fuzzy field of view. She might have found this concerning if it weren't for the fact that she was often surrounded by one worried family member or another when the attacks happened, and as a result, the presence of someone else as she roused helped to lessen the impact of some of the otherwise worrying sensations.

She frowned as snow was flicked across her face, forcing her eyes to blink as a reflex. It helped to clear some of the blurriness that clouding her vision, and hastened her return to the world. Like a swimmer breaking the surface, the sounds around her went from muffled to clear and she dragged in a heavy breath as the monochrome filly went on about evidence.

Evidence? Svetka thought in confusion, uncertain of what was going on. If there was evidence, then there was a crime. And if there was a crime there was a... crimer? Or was it villainy? Maybe nillaiv? She couldn't remember, but she untangled her forelegs and made to roll onto her chest so that she could ask just as her niece yanked the stick from her foot. She'd entirely forgotten about its existence in the twilight between sleep and awake, and the sharp pain of it being removed made her squawk in surprise and yank the pale cream hoof up under her belly indignantly.

"What'd'you dosthat for?" She slurred, craning back to look at Una as though it were perfectly normal for one's head to wobble when it was head upright. "Zat hurt."

It occurred to her somewhat belatedly that she didn't even know who this was. Granted, her daddy was pretty prolific, but Svetka knew she had been one of the few pretty princesses born to her daddy last season. Which meant that this was a stranger. What was a stranger doing in the Cove? "Who're you?"
