Her heart sank. She had hoped that she would find some of her kin, to feel the closeness once again. But no, she is left with the cold gaze of a stranger (one who particularly did not want her company). With a sigh on her whiskered lips her gaze falls to the dried leaves and yellowing grasses of Autumn. She holds back the tears that threaten to brim in her eyes once again. Pull it togther V. She drew another breath and straightened her shoulders.

"Thank you," for nothing, she thought to herself as she started to move from the napping stranger and onto someone who wanted to point her in the right direction. But just as she is about to leave him, a single eye popped open. "My name is Lourn." She paused. "I'm Vesna, but my friends calls me V," well if she had any friends they would call her V.

It helped. It helped to have someone to talk to beside the rocks and the fluttering birds. He pushed himself from the rough bark of the tree and pivoted to face her. "Can I help you with something?" A smile played at her whiskered lips, he was going to help her. "Well, first I need help finding my family," she sighed longingly. Isn't that what they all wanted? Was to feel as if they belonged? She also needed to know that her mother was safe, she needed to know if she had somehow found her way home.

Maybe, just maybe Lourn could help her. Even if he had heard something it would be another clue to figuring out where her mother was. "And second, I'd just like a friend." she paused as she eyed the complete stranger. Yes, she knew that she asked a lot of him... but if she were honest it looked like he needed a friend as much as she did.
