Sakhmet
..mare..arabian..grey..15.1 hh..

For a man that carried her scorn, Atair had remained loyal in his claim; Antares’ words stating as such. The grey mare was confident it was only because of Eness that he did so. Still, it left a conflicting feeling that Sakhemt refused to share as they withdrew from one another. After everything, did they even deserve that from one another?

“It may not be as simple as that.” the grey mare confessed, though she was not ashamed of what she had done. Not entirely. “In the absence of the Sadim, I gave to temptation.” If there was anything that Sakhmet did regret, was not doing anything to help Ra. To watch her son flounder as he attempted to carve his way through life, and had not made it very far. She had not instilled the life lessons in him to lead his own household. Only the tools he needed to fight, and to survive. Looking at Antares now, she wondered if he or any of the brothers, could look passed her sin to help him learn their ways. To take him into the family that the golden stallion clearly needed.

“I gave him the name Ra; his coat the same color as the sun the day he was born.” Sakhmet said, thinking back on that day. How she had been faced with that pain and fear alone. A self-inflicted terror that she would not wish on any other, though she had found it to be common practice among the isles. “He resides in the Hills.” As Sheik, she wondered what he would do with this information. Or if he would leave it to Atair to decide.
