Interesting that news people are now calling homeless people “houseless.” Funny, because technically, they’re right.
A home is defined as “the place where one lives,” be that a mansion on Rodeo Drive or a tent under a bridge in Sacramento (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tf2_Xl9rI4w). The people living in a tent in Sacramento are NOT homeless; that tent is their home. They are HOUSELESS.
The likelihood that our language police will ever get us to change how we refer to these unfortunate people is slim, but - - They’re right.
