GUIDELINES

- the Prairie stands as a symbol of peace and prosperity among the islands
- anyone is welcome to live here so long as they do not bring harm to the Prairie or any of it's residents
- adventure and exploration is not only allowed, but encouraged! residents are asked to use their better judgement and not travel to places that could bring them harm
- the head of the prairie has final say in all prairie matters. the secondary and third positions are not able to be challenged for and are selected by the head
- the guardians take on a more active role in the prairie; they must protect the inhabitants of the prairie and go on patrols of the prairie borderlines and shore. they can welcome strangers to the prairie and invite anyone to live here, though they must inform one of the leaders of any newcomers or visitors
we could be strangers in the night

YOUR LOVE IS ALWAYS DANGEROUS
and now i'm lost in us

I can’t find them. His worry has been correct. Zevulun came to a slow halt near enough to her they could speak, but enough to offer her space she may need. He listened quietly as she talked, though her question - Am I supposed to wait here forever for him to show up - struck at something in his heart. Zevulun knew both sides of this story. He had experienced the pain of a suddenly disappearing loved one and their child, but he’d also once been the one who left the ones who loved him.

“I would want them to do what would be best for them,” he said, and knew it could sound like such an easy answer to say. Zevulun took a breath, mulling over how best to explain himself. “Though that can be hard to know, when you’re grieving such a sudden loss.” The death of Darshan had been difficult to cope through, just the same as Balor’s, but at the very least there was some finality there. No wondering their fate or what it has been that took them away from the island and away from their families.

“I’ve been left before, and I’ve left others,” He admitted, reflecting on his earlier thoughts, “I’ll never fully forgive myself for the second one, especially the what-if’s that hang over those long gone by the time I returned.” Zevulun’s pale blue eyes regarded Mage for a moment, wishing there was more comfort he could offer than his apologies. If only he had seen Viđarr recently, or known where the stallion may have gone. It had been some time since he left Luthien… maybe he could make a swim to Crossing Isle, see if he could track the stallion down. He briefly thought of the time he did the same when leaving to look for Balor and felt a cold spread through him. Quickly pushing those thoughts aside, he refocused on Mage instead.

“I’m sorry about your son. There’s no pain quite like the loss of a child.” His voice softened sympathetically at that, and he thought not only of Izizel, but of Aurelie’s sweet babe of the last season, too. Zevulun swallowed back the knot of emotion that rose in his throat at the thought of them. “Hopefully they’ll come back home soon,” he said, and was truly hopeful. He didn’t think Viđarr was the type to leave his family, though hopefully it was nothing dreadfully terrible that had caused this absence.
