 Winter's cold grasp kept the Islands in it's chokehold. The waters, the naked trees branches and even chilled the bones of the living - all suffered beneath its oppressive weight. Some complained of the severity, complained when their chilled muscles ached and shivered against the winds. Not Hekate. The frigid winds breathed life into her bones, it made her feel alive as if winter lived within her. Her breath plummed around her - silvery and misty - and frost clung to the whiskers along her nostrils. The maiden of the moon stood just within the shadows, her dark brown gaze drew in the indivduals scattered across this gathering area. Yet, none intrigued her as much as the blood smeared stallion who strode through the throngs and to the water's icy edge. Curiously she watched as he ignored the need to stay warm and stepped into the water's frigid depths. And beneath them he sank - with only the bubbles and a few ripples on the water's surface. She breathed a silvery breath and stepped from the shadows and to the water's edge. A smile ghosted across her whiskered lips as the blood stained stallion surfaced once more. She does not hesitate to step into the frigid water's - she reveled as the frigid water's crawl up her legs and to her belly. I am not broken. he whispered I will return. that is good. She thought to herself as her dark gaze lingered on his broad shoulder muscles and the strength he bestowed. "It is never advised to be a quitter," she offered as her shoulders paralled with his own, her dark gaze tipped upward toward the cascading falls "and I am sure you will make, whoever it is, regret the day they crossed paths with you."
