I share the skepticism about Anderluck if the evaluation is based purely on the WPS record.

Playing as top dog exclusively in games 1 and 2 is not a very good way to test improvement. Especially if you believe that winning builds confidence, because a pure games 1 & 2 schedule would deliver that in spades.

OTOH, if the opinion is based on expert-level analysis of his playing technique, then it could very well be true. However, I'm not in a position to judge that. I wonder who might be, and what they would say.
