Don't go crying to your momma

cause you're on your own in the real world

Devi desperately watches her father investigate the area for signs of Parvati. She was successful in bringing him here now she could only pray he was able to help. Orphiel turns his attention towards her with an odd look in his eye. Her heart flutters as he mentions knowing where she might be, but then he asks her to stay put. Privacy? She doesn’t understand, but she nods in agreement. If this is what he would need to help save her mother from death’s door than she would do anything he asked. She would even swim to the other side of the sea to find some secret flower to heal her. Too bad something like that didn’t exist. “Okay,” she says softly as her eyes fall down to the snow. Her ears twitch from the sound of him walking away. It wasn’t until he was out of sight that she truly began to feel the aftermath of the recent journey.

At first his voice was muffled, but as he got closer Parvati realizes it wasn’t a dream. Heavy eyes turn slowly to look upon the cream-colored dun rushing to her aid. His image was blurry so she has to blink a few times to really get a good sense of who it was. But his scent…she knew exactly who this was. ”Oh, Parvati,” his soft lips sing to her as her eyes slowly close. She breaths in his scent with each careful breath she takes. Nice and slow to try and ease the pain she felt. She must have blacked out for a moment because the next thing she remembers is his body so close to hers. He was saying something about taking her anywhere she wanted to go.

”Am I dead?” She must be. There was no way Orphiel would be in the Inlet unless this was all in her head. Wait if Orphiel was here wouldn’t that mean he was dead too? Dreaming…yes maybe this was a dream. She mumbles something as she pushes off the tree and stumbles forward. ”Take me to my cave.” She wanted to find solitude away from everyone else. What is she was pregnant? This baby in her belly would die with her. I mean, if she was not already dead. Parvati leans into Orphiel as he helps guide her through the woods and towards the large cave opening. ”Please don’t leave me again,” she whispers weakly.

”If you are real please stay. Become my guard. Just please stay.” The offer may be made from a half there mare, but they were real. Her heart has ached for Orphiel since the day he left.
